iskills is the first NZQA private training establishment (PTE) in New Zealand to partner with the electricity supply standard setting body (SSB) Connexis to deliver the new industry RCC programme – NZ Certificate in fault response and field switcher Level 4 (Distribution)
This programme is delivered by a combination of 1 day classroom theory, on job evidence gathering and professional conversations with an approved assessor. The duration of this programme is approximately 6 months and the outcome is the recognition of skills and experience gained over numerous years of on job work nationally recognised by NZQA level 4 qualification. Suitable for those currently undertaking Fault response and Field Switching as part of their jobs within the electrical Supply industry/Distribution.
This programme supports the Line Mechanics application for the NEW EWRB line mechanic endorsement to have passed a Board-approved Fault Response competency-based training programme. The Distribution Line Mechanic (endorsed) allows the Distribution Line Mechanic to do work in relation to restoration of supply to an installation.
iskills is currently delivering this programme to several large groups across the country with great success and look forward to supporting companies with this programme and soon to follow the block course training for this qualification for those who don’t meet the entry requirements for RCC.
